- 1,000 Minute Men were sent to Breed's Hill to try and build fortifications to help protect against the incoming British invasion.
- 2,200 British troops marched to Breed's Hill
- The Minute men were originally going to be at the top of Bunker Hill, but they chose Breed's Hill instead because it was closer to Boston.
- A famous quote made by General Prescott in order to get the Minute Men to save ammunition was "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes."
- The third time the British charged up the hill they made it up and engaged the Militia Men.
- The American's were forced to retreat.
- More than 200 British were killed and 800 wounded. More than 100 Americans were killed and 300 others were wounded.
